The little penguin is exquisitely appliquéd in black and cream felt wool with the detail hand embroidered in antique gold thread. He stands upon the melting ice surrounded by mother of pearl sequin stars, and the edges are hand finished with gold blanket stitch. The stocking is completed with a hanging loop.
